You may have already read the story about Tim DeChristopher, a college student who in a deliberate act of civil disobedience bid up parcels of oil and natural leases with no intention of paying, in order to save them from a last-ditch effort of the Bush Administration to divy out land near (among other places) Arches National Park in Utah. Well, it looks like he just might pay up…and then some.
He’s been taking donations to pay for the down payment on the lease and his expected legal expenses. Read this…

I love what this guy is doing! Be sure to mention that he (or someone on his behalf) is collecting donations that will help keep the cause going.
